On Friday October 16, the High Museum of Art will open its doors to the John C. Portman Art & Architecture Exhibition for an exclusive preview only for guests of the Atlanta Apparel Market. (http://www.high.org/main.taf?p=3,2,1,15,1) We’re thrilled to be able to share this exceptional exhibition with our Atlanta Apparel Market attendees.
The exhibition, which showcases Portman’s 50 year career in art, architecture and design, provides insight into his invaluable contribution to the city he calls home, as well as his critically acclaimed work around the globe. While many buyers are intimately familiar with AmericasMart Atlanta, Portman is also responsible for other Atlanta landmarks including The Peachtree Center and The Hyatt Regency, among others across the country and around the world.
The High Museum of Art together with the Atlanta Apparel Market want you to be the first to experience this landmark exhibition. Exclusive entry to the John C. Portman Exhibit, complimentary Italian hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be available to our guests from 6-9:30 p.m. Friday night. Additionally, guests are welcome to visit The High’s weekly Jazz Night and other exhibitions including Alex Soth and the highly anticipated Leonardo da Vinci: Hand of the Genius Exhibition.
Complimentary shuttle service departs in front of Building 3 at the corner of Spring and Harris streets and runs continuously throughout the evening.
Admittance is limited to 500 guests; please contact ACheek@americasmart.com for further details.
