Events and Seminars Offered Throughout June Market

Not only is June Market filled with fashion and fun, but Atlanta Apparel is offering educational advancement through retail seminars presented by business practitioners for apparel buyers who want to enhance their business and increase sales. The seminars offered during June Market are the following:
Retailer’s Survival Kit Breakfast Seminar: Managing Budgets, Cash Flow and Inventory
A group of Retailers from Southeast,will share their personal tips and experience to the seminar to enhance buyers. This will be a panel discussion and open-topic Q /A seminar discussing what you really need-to-know about maintaining budget, watching cash flow and controlling inventory. June 11, 9 a.m. – 10 a.m., Building 3, Floor 8, Buyer’s Lounge Room 8-E-316.

The Rights of Retailing
Presented by T.J. Reid, editor of Fashion Advantage, will help you define the five rights for running a successful business. The five “P” words Place, Product, People, Price and Presentation, will each be defined. Attendees will each receive a free copy of T.J.’s book, “What Mother Never Told Ya About Retail.” Coffee, Doughnuts and Door prizes will be offered. June 12, 9 a.m. – 10 a.m., Building 3, Floor 8, Buyer’s Lounge Room 8-E-316.

Other events you won’t want to miss out on throughout Market include The Daily Strut fashion shows in Floor 2 in THE LOUNGE, TOTEally Fabulous tote giveaway for buyers on Floor 3, a wine & beer cart—only if you can catch it! Winners Whisk Away Mustang

Thomas and Ethel Smawley with Penny Eskew from Jovani by their new mustang

During the August Atlanta Apparel Market, Jovani gave away a FREE Ford mustang to one lucky retailer. All retailers had the chance to enter by stopping by the Jovani showroom on the Special Occasion floor 10 during Market. On Sunday evening at a cocktail party in the showroom, the winner was drawn and announced. Thomas and Ethel Smawley of The Encounter, headquartered in Kingsport, TN, were the lucky winners. The Smawleys have been in the apparel business for more than three decades and have been coming to Atlanta for Market for 34 years. Ethel told AmericasMart that this was the first time they had ever won anything. The couple drove away their hot red Ford Mustang today…heading back to Tennessee in style!

Jovani, 10S114, is hosting the biggest giveaway at Market! One lucky winner will drive away in a 2010 Torch Red Ford Mustang V6 Coupe.
